I graduated from Veterans Memorial High School in 2008 and moved to Nashville, Tennessee immediately after graduation. I wanted to pursue a career in the music industry. I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Music Business with Magna Cum Laude honors in two and a half years. During my time at Belmont, I had many great opportunities in the music industry such as interning with Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. and participating in an organization that allowed me to attend and work different music events such as the CMA Awards and various festivals.

I started working in the music industry immediately after graduation at BMI, or Broadcast Music, Inc. I then decided to work in higher education returning back to Belmont University where I have been employed for several years. I am currently attending graduate school to receive my Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance. This past semester, I sat for the Six Sigma Green Belt Exam and received my certification. Once I graduate, I hope to further my professional career either in the music industry or business sector.

I strongly believe in higher education and even furthering your education with graduate school. Even though some people may not end up working in the field they received their degree in, it is still crucial to employers to know that that person is committed to a task, such as obtaining a degree, and can finish it. I am also an advocate for receiving a degree in which a person has a passion in. I believe that one does their best work when they are doing something they love and enjoy.

Being awarded the Stars scholarship for my undergraduate degree helped me fulfill my goals and dreams in Nashville, Tennessee in the music industry. I am very grateful and appreciative of the support I received from Stars. Thank you!
